The WWWroot

is a directory where all your website's files are stored. Most of the time it's the same directory as your FTP root. Sometimes it's a directory called htdocs or simply www.

If ZipDeploy (upload fast) will not be able to automatically detect your WWWroot , you will receive a warning message:

Cannot detect the web address of your site. You will have to define it manually, as follows : 1. browse the FTP directory structure to get to your WWW root 2. right-click that directory and select the "Set as WWWRoot" option. 3. enter the web address on your site in the coming dialog (Ex.: http://www.mysite.com)

and you'll have to manually point ZipDeploy (upload fast) to your WWWroot, as follows:

  1. browse the FTP directory structure to get to your WWWroot
  2. right-click that directory and select the "Set as WWWRoot" option.
  3. enter the web address on your site in the coming dialog (Ex.:  http://www.mysite.com)

Quote of the day
The lack of a cPanel at GoDaddy makes remote unzipping almost impossible. I've tried some PHP scripts but they seem to stop from a browser buffer limit or something.
I just fired this puppy up and it did a Joomla upgrade in less than three minutes. A manual copy could have taken all night with the risk of some file corruption.
Thanks!
